The reception was held at the beautiful Cool Spring Embassy Suites.

The Reception was more of a party. Everyone enjoyed dancing to the music by our good friend Brian Snyder.

Brittney & Scott - The Wedding

Brittney and Scott were married in a beautiful ceremony at the West Franklin Baptist Church.

Brittney's sister, Lindsey, and her mom helped her get ready. She was absolutely radiant. I loved how they shared these moments together, before revealing the "finished product" to the rest of the bridesmaids.

I LOVED how Brittney and all her bridesmaids had a prayer before the ceremony. It was so neat - I wish everyone would do that. It definitely set the tone for the wedding.

Four of the bridesmaids played golf with Brittney at college. They had a handkerchief made with each girls name embroidered on it. As they each got married, their wedding date was added to it and they each carried it with them on their special day.

Congratulations Brittney and Scott - May you have a lifetime of happiness!!

Rusty had his back surgery in December and it took me a while, but I think I am starting to catch up. I got behind on posting pictures from sessions. Sometimes, it seemed like all I could do was get the sessions edited and out to customers. But there were some really good ones, so I want to share them still. New Session Structure

I would like to announce a change in Portrait Sessions. I am excited about this change. I think it will make it easier on me, hence the excitement. Now with each portrait session scheduled, whether in studio or on location, each session will include a CD of all images from the session with the rights to print. This will allow you as the customer the freedom to have your images printed wherever you like, whenever you like. If you would like to order prints from me still, that is always an option as well.

And totally unrelated to this, my store once again lost all the photos that were stored there. I have contacted GoDaddy to try and figure out why this has happened again. Tomorrow I will start reloading all of the images. Unfortunately, if you had favorites marked, those will be lost.

Shannon Hairr Photography is now available for destination weddings. We booked our first destination wedding last year and were immediately hooked. Destination weddings are a cost-effective way of hosting your wedding, since both your wedding and your honeymoon are in the same place. Additionally, most resorts offer wedding packages at reduced rates, or even free, to guests who are staying a certain number of nights. Since destination weddings typically involve about half the guest list of traditional weddings, you can literally cut your reception budget in half. The place to not skimp is your photography. After your wedding day is over, the only thing you have left, other than memories, are your pictures. Make sure you pick a photographer that you are comfortable with and that you can meet with before the wedding day. In most cases, this may mean taking your photographer with you. Many photographers charge an extra fee for traveling. We do not do that. We charge only our actual travel expenses plus whatever wedding package you choose. Lauren & Matthew were married in a beautiful ceremony at Vine Street Christian Church on Saturday. It was made even more special because the ceremony was performed by Lauren's grandfather.

Lauren & Matthew had a surprise planned for everyone. In the middle of their first dance, the music stopped and they mixed it up a little. My favorite part was "Can't Touch This" and Matthew's MC Hammer pants!!

What they didn't know was Lauren's dad had his own surprise in store. In the middle of their father/daughter dance, he dressed like Michael Jackson and did his own dance. It was AWESOME!!
